Giveaway: Get Healthy With Produce for Kids and Price Chopper

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.

Thanks to Produce for Kids for providing a Price Chopper gift card for this giveaway. All opinions are 100% my own.

One of the reasons Mandy and I started this site is to encourage ourselves and our readers to get out and get active with our little ones. And it’s no secret that an active lifestyle goes hand in hand with good eating habits when it comes to keeping ourselves and our kiddos healthy and happy. That’s why we are so excited to once again support the annual Get Healthy, Give Hope campaign brought to you by Produce for Kids and Price Chopper.

Going on now through July 27th, 2013, your select produce purchases made at Price Chopper grocery stores will help support local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. So there’s never been a better time to load up your grocery cart with all the fresh fruits and vegetables of the season.

But that’s not all! To support their mission of encouraging healthy eating among families, Produce for Kids has put together a collection of simple, healthy, and delicious Ideal Meals to inspire your next family meal, snack, or treat. All these recipes are available on their website, but you can also pick up FREE, colorful, glossy recipe cards at Price Chopper locations. Look for a display in the produce section of your local store.

We’ve even included links to a few Ideal Meals that are perfect for beating the summer heat! (See below.)

Still need some incentive to pile on the produce? Produce for Kids is offering a $25 Price Chopper Gift Card to one lucky reader. See details below. Price Chopper has locations throughout the North East in CT, MA, NH, NY, PA, & VT. Click here to see if there’s one near you.

“Produce For Kids” Right now our favorite fruit is strawberries. We picked 10lbs on Sunday and we have about 1lb left today (Wednesday)! I can’t keep up with my 3 kids and the cost of fresh produce. A gift card would be so helpful!

Produce for kids has some great recipes online that I can’t wait to try. Blueberries are a big hit in our house; my 8 month and two year old can’t get enough. We have to buy them by the pound!

Produce for Kids is a great way to introduce children to a lifetime of healthy eating. We were unfortunate and had a picky eater at first, but now that our little one just turned two he loves fruit, especially blueberries and cherries!
