As most of you know, Shawna had a baby on Monday. (yay!) While she is taking time with her new little one, I’m going to be handling the Thursday posts. I wish I had time to do a second full post each week, but these things take FOREVER to put together 🙂 So, this Thursday we are continuing our “Throwback Thursday” series. I actually think that most of you will really enjoy this series. We have so many old posts in “the vault” that it is nice to remind our veteran readers about some oldies but goodies and also introduce these posts to our new readers.
So without further adieu, let me tell you about a great post written by Shawna last summer.
One thing that she and I find challenging is that our kids currently nap in the afternoon and most of the local swimming venues we know about open for the day around noon or 1pm. So, when we found this morning swim destination, we were instantly hooked.
Eastbury Pond is located in Glastonbury and is open daily at 10:30 am. There is a fee per car or you can purchase a season pass. The venue has lifeguards and restroom facilities on site. It is a great destination, especially if you have little ones who wake up at 6am and are ready for a nap at 1! Check out all the details here.

Quick Question. This post says it opens at 10:30, but the old post on the signage in the picture it looks like it says 11:00?? When I went to the website it didn’t seem to list hours?? Do you know for sure b/c I’d be the one who gets there at 10:30! LOL 🙂
Julie – I thought I had replied to your comment on my phone but it looks like it never went through! So sorry. I am pretty sure that the pond still opens at 10:30 am. I will try and give them a call tomorrow to double check. The good news is you can still get in, there just won’t be open restrooms or lifeguards. Hope you are well!
