Throwback Thursday: Museum Reciprocity

I’m filling in for Shawna today because she is working on a big house project this week.

Since I don’t have a whole new outing to share with you, I decided to look through our blog archives and see if there was a post that might be fun to recycle.  We have gained a lot of new readers in the past few months (Welcome to all the OAAM newbies!) and there is so much material on our site that they may never have seen.

After taking a look at our post listing (I still can’t believe we have been writing for three years) there were actually a ton of posts that I wanted to share.

But after a little research I realized there was a popular post on our site that might not be something a new reader would easily find . . .

So today I’m “throwing it back” to a post written by Shawna in 2013 where she did an amazing job explaining the world of museum reciprocity.  If you are thinking about buying a museum membership and trying to figure out where to get one and understand a little bit more about the reciprocal benefits, than this post is for you.

Grab your glass of wine, cup of coffee, or beverage of choice and read through Reciprocity Revealed:  The ACM, The ASTC and How to Get the Most Out of Your Museum Membership.

Oh and if you have any questions or need more information, feel free to ask us on Facebook or leave a comment below.

Both Shawna and I have invested in museum memberships over the last few years and they have been a beneficial resource while we have had so many little munchkins at home.  If you are contemplating such an investment and have questions, we would be happy to try to answer them!

Don’t forget about AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums).

Thank you for the suggestion! I’m definitely going to look into the details of the AZA.
