Luv 2 Play Indoor Playground and Arcade

Please note: This post was originally published in 2022. While it should still give you a good overview of the experience, it may also contain some outdated information. Please visit their website for the most current information before you visit. Been there recently and got an update for us? We’d love to hear from you in the comments section below! Hey, it takes a village 🙂

2022 Post:

As a mom of three kids, I am always willing to drive a considerable distance for a place that offers activities for all three of my children to enjoy simultaneously (not an easy feat when there is a 7-year age gap between the oldest and youngest!). Add to that a FULLY CONTAINED play area where I can let my 4-year-old pretty much run wild, and suddenly miles are no obstacle at all!

And that is how I stumbled upon a (relatively) new indoor play place in Sutton, MA called Luv 2 Play that, despite being about an hour’s drive for us, checked all the boxes!

Of course, for those of you in the “Quiet Corner,” this place will be more convenient to visit. So definitely pay attention!

When you arrive, you’ll need to fill out a waiver and purchase your admission. You can also fill out a waiver ahead of time on their website.

Computers up front where you can complete a waiver for each child. You can also fill one out ahead of time online.
Check out their pricing options online. Adults are FREE with a paid child ticket. Babies 0-12 months are FREE with a paid sibling, and babies 0-5 months are always FREE.

EVERYONE must wear socks in the play area. No shoes allowed. Adults, this includes you too so be prepared to shed those shoes! Socks are available for purchase if you forget your own.
Once you enter through this gate, you are securely in the play area and can rest assured your kiddos won’t be running out into the parking lot.

Outside food and beverages are not allowed past the entrance gate, but there is a snack bar located inside.

Full service café with a variety of favorites including pizza, burgers, fries, and more.
Note the cold brew coffee option. Fully contained play areas for kids PLUS a major caffeine fix for you– Is this place made for parents or what?!

We opted for the “Family Fun Pack” admission, which included entry for three children, a large cheese pizza, drinks for two adults and three children and a $5 arcade game card for each of three children. At around $55 for the weekday rate (and still just $61 on weekends), this felt like a pretty good deal for lunch and play for the whole family!

The play structures at Luv 2 Play are designed for kids ages 0-12 and there are separate areas for babies, toddlers and older children.

The baby areas are located adjacent to the main playscape, making it very easy to keep an eye on multiple children at once.

One of the fully contained baby/toddler spaces.
And another.

This larger toddler play area located just beyond the eating area is also fully enclosed.

For more active toddlers there is this contained playscape.

The main attraction, of course, is this multi-level play structure. It’s designed for kids up to age 12, but it can also hold adults up to 250lbs, which is excellent because it means you can actually accompany your child through it if you need to. Often these things are kids-only, which can make it tricky for adults with kiddos still teetering on the edge of independence.

I’ve entered a new phase in my blogging career where I can now entrust my phone to my eldest child (almost 12) and allow him to get some firsthand photos! So enjoy this inside look 🙂

So apparently we lost a sock in there somehow. LOL. Good thing they sell replacements!
The inside of the playscape is filled with fun activities and obstacles.

On one side of this large play structure, kind of located underneath it actually, is the arcade area. As I suspected, this was the main draw for my 11-year-old. The games operate using a card that you can fill and refill with funds.

You can use this machine to purchase or refill a card to use for playing the arcade games. We purchased the Family Fun Pack for our admission option, which includes three cards, each with $5 loaded on them already. In the interest of full disclosure, I will admit that we ended up adding about $10 for each of my older kids for some extra arcade playtime.
The arcade area is located underneath the left side of the play structure.
The arcade card also operated this mini carousel.
No surprise that the kids went straight for the claw game filled with candy.
Everyone’s a winner! (Seriously, you can play until you get something!)

You can redeem arcade points (automatically tallied on the arcade cards) for prizes. Points don’t expire at the end of your visit, so if you plan to be a regular you can encourage your kids to save up their points for one of the bigger prizes.

There is seating practically everywhere, so you are sure to find a perch where you can keep an eye on all the action, even if, like me, you have three kids moving in three different directions!

Since this destination is a bit of a trek for us, we decided to combine it with another one of our favorite MA outings: dinner at The Steaming Tender restaurant in Palmer, MA.

Obligatory kids photo aboard one of the Steaming Tender’s historic train cars.

Another option if you’re looking to extend your visit to the area might be to head over to the nearby EcoTarium Museum in Worcester, especially if you participate in a reciprocal museum admission program through the ACM (Association of Children’s Museums) Reciprocal Network or the ASTC (Association of Science Technology Centers) Travel Passport Program. You could qualify for FREE or reduced admission there! And of course, Southwick’s Zoo is close as well, although that one could definitely be a full day all on its own.

For those of you who live close by, Luv 2 Play offers membership options as well. We met many moms there who freely admit to coming on pretty much a weekly or even daily basis for playdates or just some downtime while their kids are safely entertained. Boy do I wish we had someplace like this closer to my house when my three were small! I think I would have been on a first name basis with the entire staff 😉

Informative post as always! We might plan to head there this summer as it isn’t too far away. Another great place in Sutton (or at least close to Sutton) is Purgatory Chasm. It is a fantastic hiking area for families. I have not been there but some of my friends have and they enjoyed it. I’m always so excited when you write about a new location!
