Has it really been 11 years since my last visit to the Fair Weather Growers Fall Festival in Cromwell, CT?? A quick glance at this (ancient!) post confirms for me that my now 12-year-old was indeed a wobbly one year old the last time we visited.
Thankfully, my endlessly energetic 8-year-old was more than happy to help me refresh my memory with a return visit this season.

The fall festival is located at 10 County Line Drive in Cromwell, which is a different location from the Fair Weather Growers Farm Market you may have driven by on Cromwell Avenue in Rocky Hill. Don’t worry though, it’s only just down the road.

Although many things were as I remembered them, there have naturally been some changes over the years. Like pricing, obviously– it has been more than a decade after all. And they have added or updated some activities. Also, websites have come a loooooong way since we started this blog back in 2011(!), so now there is a lot of good information online you can peruse before your visit, including hours & admission info, pictures of the various activities and even the option to purchase tickets online! Also, now all the food vendors take credit cards so no more scrounging for cash at the bottom of the diaper bag like in the good old days LOL You can also check out this helpful list of FAQs before you go.
So today I thought I’d show you some pictures from our visit a couple weekends ago. The 2025 fair runs through November 2nd, so there’s still one weekend left to exoerience all the family fun with your own crew!

The Fair Weather Growers Fall Festival was just as wonderful as I remember it. And all these years later, it’s even more of an essential outing for your seasonal “to go” list. In a world obsessed with all things virtual, it’s a rare, in real life, screen-free, non-digital zone. Just good ol’ fashioned fun, like the kind our increasingly high-tech kids don’t get enough of these days.
