A Whole Lotta Fun at Whole Foods

PLEASE NOTE: Update 2023–Post COVID-19 Pandemic this Whole Foods no longer offers the large indoor seating area/food court or children’s play area. It does still have limited indoor seating at the front of the store (beyond the checkouts) and outdoor tables. It also still offers all the yummy food choices including fresh, hot pizza (hello, […]

October Roundup

Another month has come and gone.  That means it’s time for the OAAM Monthly Roundup! Soon Christmas music will start, turkeys will be in the oven, and holiday shopping will commence.  But, before we get wrapped up in the holidays right around the corner, let’s take a moment to reflect on all of the places we visited in […]

Wordless Wednesday: Halloween

I wanted to entitle this post, “Happy Halloween”, but I know that this day is going to be very challenging for many people affected by Hurricane Sandy.  Unfortunately, it may not be the happiest of holidays as over 600,000 people in our state are without power and many are dealing with property damage from wind, trees and water.  Shawna […]

Fall Fun at Connecticut Farms and Orchards

We are so lucky to live in a state with an abundance of farms and orchards.  Throughout the year, these family friendly destinations provide us with fresh fruit, vegetables, dairy products and more.  Then, in the fall, many of them open up their properties to celebrate the season with hayrides, pumpkin patches, corn mazes and more.
